Patterns and colours in an animal’s coat can become confusing to paint. In this day workshop, which is suitable for all levels, Ruth will guide you through three easy stages of painting an Amur leopard using the pattern of the spots to define the form of the animal.
Starting with an underpainting, you will get then get the chance to play with colour and dropped-in paint, before layered painting for the colour of the spots. There will be some discussion of how to choose colours and colour mixing, so you will also be able to apply the lessons in your own painting. As seen in September’s ‘The Artist’ Magazine.
