"Born of two ideas, from Japanese culture: 'Akai Ito' and 'Kintsugi'. 'Akai Ito' (Red Thread of Fate), is a philosophy in the form of a story about the connections between us and the significant people in our lives.
Red Thread Series
'Kintsugi' is the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with gold. These ideas morphed into an analogy for the healing connections between humans and animals, especially horses, and became the on-going Red Thread Series, which incorporates other sub-series: Spirit Quest and Spanish Stave, examples of which are shown on the page /painting - /horses
