" Sometimes the idea for a painting sits in my head for a time before it becomes clear, or my technique and my creative process mature enough to tackle it. In this case that time was over twelve years. In 2016 A friend's daughter modeled for me towards what I thought was a single painting idea. That single idea turned into this ongoing Series."
